Carol Rider, L.Ac., M.T.O.M., received her training at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with the degree of Master of Traditional Oriental Medicine. She brings 22 years of experience in Acupuncture, Herbology and Oriental Medicine to her Sorrento Valley practice in San Diego. Areas of focus include pain management, headaches, women’s health issues, support for oncological issues such as nausea experienced during chemotherapy and post surgical rehabilitation. In addition to operating her own private practice, she has worked within the recovery field where she has performed group acupuncture treatments utilizing the NADA (National Association of Detox Acupuncture) protocol for numerous groups as well as treating patients individually with recovery related issues. She is also the director and creator of the acupuncture program at White Sands Of La Jolla Senior Living Community.
Carol Rider is licensed by The Acupuncture Board of California and is a member of The American Acupuncture Council. She is also a board member at Lasting Recovery where she is in charge of their group acupuncture treatment program.
